At Keila DeGraaf Photography, my mission is to create stunning, timeless images that capture the unique beauty and essence of every client—whether you're celebrating a milestone, cherishing a family moment, or commemorating your special day. I am committed to providing a personalized, seamless experience that goes beyond your expectations, ensuring every moment is captured with authenticity and artistry.
I am a photographer, wife, mother, and as of May 2024, a retired classroom educator. I love to express myself with my journaling and photography. I hope to help you capture special moments and spirit through my lens.
Three years ago I started praying for God to give me a new purpose. I was a veteran teacher on my way to retirement. I loved teaching and working with children but I knew it was time to move on to my next chapter. I started realizing that what I desired was to pick up a passion that started back in high school, photography. But more than anything, was the need for a personal connection to my clients like I had for so many years with my students. Everyone wants to be known, seen, loved and befriended.
I am committed to forming relationships with my clients and intentionally caring to get to know them.
I was a high school student in journalism when I picked up my first camera, a Pentex K1000. I loved shooting in black and white film, it captures so much more than just the image in the frame. This camera started the conflict, expression through journalism or photography. Writing prevailed for a while (12 years of teaching Language Arts under my belt) but the camera was always within reach. Over the years I have shot with Pentex, Minolta and Canon (4 Canons in total). AND I have been a Canon gal for the last 20 years. My latest camera is an R6 Mark II and I am obsessed!
