My Mission as your photographer
Hi, I’m Keila — the heart behind Keila DeGraaf Photography.
I’m a Pensacola senior portrait photographer serving high school seniors in Pensacola, Pace, Milton, and along the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida. I specialize in natural light senior portraits that feel relaxed, joyful, and completely authentic to who you are.
Your senior year is more than a milestone — it’s a season of growth, confidence, and becoming. My goal is to capture that transformation in a way that feels effortless and timeless.
From Classroom to Camera
Before becoming a full-time photographer, I was a classroom educator for many years and officially retired in May 2024. Teaching allowed me to connect deeply with students — to see their strengths, personalities, and potential.
When I prayed for clarity about my next chapter, God gently led me back to photography — something that had been part of my life since high school.
Photography has always been more than a hobby for me. It’s how I see people. It’s how I tell stories.
And now, I get to use that gift to serve seniors and families across the Pensacola area.

My photography style focuses on:

I don’t believe in stiff or overly posed images. I guide you, but I also let you move, laugh, and just be yourself. The best senior portraits happen in the in-between moments — when confidence shines and personality comes alive.

Senior portraits are about more than pretty pictures.
They’re about celebrating who you are right now — before college, careers, and the next big adventure begins.
As a former educator, I know how fast these years go. I’ve watched students grow from scared young boys and girls into confident young men and women . Being able to document that final chapter through senior portraits is incredibly meaningful to me.
These images become heirlooms. They hang in homes. They sit in frames long after caps are tossed in the air.
And I don’t take that responsibility lightly.
Why I Never Stop Learning (and Why That Matters for Your Photos)
I’m always investing in my growth as a photographer by continuing my education through industry conferences and hands-on learning experiences. Attending conferences allows me to sharpen my technical skills, stay inspired by current trends, and learn proven strategies to better market and grow my business. Alongside that, I’m actively learning through online classes created by highly successful photographers, gaining insight into everything from refined shooting techniques to building a strong, authentic brand. This ongoing education helps me serve my clients at a higher level and continually elevate the experience I provide—both behind the camera and beyond it.
